The Grants Manager, Shuna Holmes, will assist in providing administrative program support in addition to oversight of compliance and regulatory requirements of NEH. She currently serve in the role of Primary Grants Administrator Contact and Authorized Representative Official for Whittier College, in the newly developed Office of Research and Sponsored Programs funded by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health & Human Development of the National Institutes of Health under Award Number G11HD073000.

Onsite Consultant in Buenos Aires:

We have selected Lic. Aida Gloria Pierini to be our consultant in Buenos Aires; she was born there and knows the city well. She is extremely responsible, easygoing and organized, and because of that we have decided to get her involved in our Seminar. She is ideal for helping our participants in dealing with hosting and exploring Buenos Aires (see Link: Buenos Aires: Accommodations)

Lic. Aída Pierini got his Master D. in Literature in 1976, and her Master in Social Work in 1986, both at the University of Buenos Aires. She speaks Spanish, Italian and English; she graduated as Professor of Italian at the Dante Alighieri Institute in Buenos Aires in 1970. She has traveled to Europe, United States and Latin American and has a very cosmopolitan personality. From 1978 to 1990 Lic. Pierini worked as a translator, reporter and editor for magazines and encyclopedias published by prestigious publishing companies in Argentina. In 2002 she delivered several lectures on the Argentine economic and social crisis at Whittier College and University of California, Long Beach. Currently, she is the Director and Editor of important institutional magazines related to commercial and industrial sectors, such as supermarkets, Food Industry, Dairy Industry, Consortia Management, and Color & Texture in Architecture). She is also the Head of Department of Foreign Institutions Building Rental Housing Association and Horizontal (www.aierh.org.ar), and Coordinator and organizer of courses and seminars for the condominium sector (activities attended by no less than 150 people). Lic. Pierini has written innumerable series of articles related to Buenos Aires city and knows all the city’s secrets.
